PSL 9 Supplementary and Replacement Players Announced

Peshawar Zalmi
Peshawar Zalmi has made some smart choices to strengthen its lineup. They have drafted Waqar Salamkheil in the silver category to replace Lungi Ngidi, who won’t be available for the entire season due to prior commitments.
Another fast bowler, Khurram Shahzad, will only be partially available, so they have replaced Arshad Iqbal. In addition, Gus Atkinson will step in for Noor Ahmed, who is unavailable due to international commitments. To replace the partially available Naveen ul Haq, Peshawar Zalmi has reserved their pick. Karachi Kings
Karachi Kings have made a smart move by bringing in Zahid Mehmood as a partial replacement for Kieron Pollard. They have also reserved their pick for Tim Seifert, who will join the squad after the New Zealand T20Is.
Quetta Gladiators
Quetta Gladiators will see Bismillah Khan replacing Wanindu Hasaranga, who will leave the squad during the tournament due to international commitments.
PL 9 Supplementary Round Picks
In the third supplementary round, the teams picked some exciting players. Peshawar Zalmi secured left-arm pacer Luke Wood, while Islamabad United added left-arm pacer Obed McCoy to their lineup.
Karachi Kings chose English middle-order batter Leus De Plooy, and Lahore Qalandars brought in Sri Lankan wicketkeeper-batter Bhanuka Rajapaksa, who had previously played for Peshawar Zalmi.
Multan Sultans added experience to their team by including West Indian wicketkeeper-batter Johnson Charles. Quetta Gladiators drafted English batter Laurie Evans, who had previously played for Multan Sultans in the 2019 edition.
In the fourth round of the Supplementary picks, Multan Sultans added the talented 19-year-old Muhammad Shahzad, who was part of the Pakistan U19 team in the ICC Men’s U19 World Cup 2022. Islamabad United welcomed Haider Ali to their squad, making this his fifth HBL PSL season with his third franchise.
Peshawar Zalmi drafted left-arm wrist spinner Sufiyan Muqeem, while Lahore Qalandars picked Tayyab Abbas, a promising player from their player development program. Karachi Kings added 21-year-old Mohammad Rohid to their squad.
